GesherCity Boston and Career Moves at Jewish Vocational Service present a career services panel discussion and networking event designed specifically for young adults ages 21-35. This event will give you concrete ways to move forward whether you’re unemployed, employed and looking for opportunities to advance your career, or secure in your job but looking for advice on how to ride out the economic storm. A panel of young professionals will cover relevant topics such as: how to build relationships and connections in a current job, how to maximize social and online networking tools to find a job, and how best to market yourself. The event will finish with a dessert reception and informal networking opportunities. Bios of the panelists: Leon Fridmar, AVP Senior Financial Advisor Merrill Lynch
Leon has been with Merrill Lynch since July of 2000. Leon has build a Financial Planning practice helping clients invest and protect personal wealth. Through the course of his career he has used networking to build his practice. He began his career cold calling, progressing to networking events, philanthropy, and different activities to establish a successful practice.
One tip Leon wants to give is that serendipity, enjoying people, and hard work will only lead to great success.
