ARTS AND CULTURE

Alternating different types of cultural activities with the Colorado Hebrew Chorale
We all get out of balance from time to time and intuitive painting Techniques help people to recognize and develop their own Creativity; bring balance and harmony into their lives. We are all creative, colorful human beings! I believe that when we paint, we should enjoy the journey of colors, the smell of the paint, and the feel of the paintbrush against the canvas, rather than obsessing about the final result. In this way our deepest creativity will expose itself. My workshops empower people to let go of their inner criticism, Helping us focus on the full half of the glass in our lives, Release whatever art is within our inner spirit. Once a week we turn off the world behind us, Turn off our day-to-day worries, Turn off the noise of traffic and the office, And we paint. Just music, colors and peace of mind.

CULTURAL/RELIGIOUS/EDUCATIONAL

I N V I T A T I O N To Participate in GATHERING THE SPARKS Opening the Gates to Touch Eternity. Authentic Kabbalah and Practical Wisdom Presented by S A M U E L B E N–O R A V I T A L Author of “The Invisible Stairway: Kabbalistic Meditations of the Hebrew Letters” Boulder, Colorado, USA. The door has opened and you are kindly invited to explore the inner traditions and wisdom of Authentic Kabbalah through "The Gathering of The Sparks " Wisdom of the Kabbalah Seminars. This is an invitation to come explore, learn, and sense the perfection and eternity within each of us, and also the SANE BALANCED universe within all of us and without all of us. We all know that deep within every human being, there comes a time when one really asks and pleads with deep questions. Why am I here? What is my purpose of being born and living? A person must change rigid ways of thinking into new ways of thinking, being, and becoming to explore the "hidden" dimensions of our being. In Kabbalah, one travels a path of "Conscious Innocence” and of Tikkun – restoration. This beautiful art and science connects one’s personal journey to Jewish spirituality, and to the source which unites us all. What is Rocky Mountain HAI?

Rocky Mountain HAI
is the paradigm shift, based on one’s Personal Spirit Quest in partnership with other seekers, not based on personalities, dogma or authority.

Rocky Mountain HAI
is about HAI, about LIFE, living FULLY, WHOLLY, which is HOLY. We are about peering through the HOLE in our veils, revealing the hidden realm, WHOLE with possibilities.

Rocky Mountain HAI
is not about any one denomination in Judaism, or any one approach to practicing Judaism. Without the constraints of a formal movement within Judaism, we are able to meet the divine, in many personal ways.

Rocky Mountain HAI
is a pathway, crossing the boundaries of denominations and spiritual practices.

Rocky Mountain HAI
is the ‘pathfinder’ to the inner path, seeking personal, balanced spirit practice in facing the challenges and joys of life.

These practices are fluid because in life,
shift happens.

Rocky Mountain HAI,
the sail flowing across the waves
tacking along the spirit winds of life.

Rocky Mountain HAI
IS a path of guided sharing
not leadership
IS partnership
not counseling
IS sitting in council
not agreement
IS soul serving
not self serving
IS acceptance

Rocky Mountain HAI
IS unconditional compassion

Our path is a path of willingness,
willingness to put down our armor
and be open to self, to our inner strength
and to the challenges that are the condiments of life.

WHO IS Rocky Mountain HAI FOR?

Rocky Mountain HAI is not for everyone.

Rocky Mountain HAI is for seekers,
those who are MOT, Members Of the Tribe
and for those who are FOT, Friends Of the Tribe.

It is for people
who are able to question the paradigm.
It is for people
who have the courage to lower the veils of judgment.
It is for people
who are willing to let go in order to grasp the Mystery.
It is for people
who wish to see life’s happenings as Holy Happenings discovering a spirit path
that enlightens all happenings.
The study of Torah based on the principle of "Peshat". We will be meeting on a weekly basis to study and discuss what we have learned.

Who Are We?

Hineini is a dynamic group which welcomes Jewish adults in their 20s, 30s and early 40s. Our group consists of individuals who are singles and partnered, affiliated and non-affiliated, observant and secular, Jew by choice and by birth, interfaith couples, Ashkenazi and Sephardic, parents, non-parents and canine-parents, gay and straight, hip and geeky, veggie and meat eaters. Get the idea? Everyone is accepted in our group and we have participants from all over the Denver area. We have come together to make acquaintances, friends, business partners, mates, and more. We can't wait to meet you!

What's In A Name?

In the Torah, G-d speaks to Moses through the burning bush , asking him where he is. Moses responds: Hineini - Here I am. With the same dedication to Jewish life, this group was created. The word Hineini reminds us that we live in the here and now. Life is about creating opportunities in the present. Together we enhance our experience as young Jews in Denver , right now!

What We Aren't...

Hineni is not exclusive to members of Temple Emanuel, though many of our members are affiliated with the synagogue. We do not require any membership fees or any commitment on the part of our membership. We're simply here to enhance your Jewish experience.

VOLUNTEERING

As you know, GesherCity is putting together a committee to help take us to the next level and we are hoping you will be part of this initiative.

GesherCity launched its Denver/Boulder website on April 2nd 2008 and has continued to grow and position itself as the central point of the Jewish community. Over the past 11 months GesherCity has operated through word of mouth/Viral marketing alone. It is now time to take GesherCity up a notch to help it reach its full potential.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about seeing the next generation of our Jewish community thrive. Each of you has something different to offer to this group and I am eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions. I am not asking for your commitment to this group sight unseen, but would appreciate it if you would attend the first meeting to determine if this is a good fit for you.

The committee will work on four main aspects of GesherCity:
Marketing and PR- to raise awareness about GesherCity among young Jewish adults in the Denver/Boulder areas. This includes helping us to develop and implement a creative platform, ensuring that the messaging is on target, and media placement.
Spreading the Word- This includes attending a few events at different organizations in the capacity of representing GesherCity and being an ambassador for GesherCity when you meet other young adults who are looking to get connected to the Jewish community.
Community Relations- The community at large needs and organizations in particular need further encouragement to participate in the free resources GesherCity has to offer. Many organizations are still asking for the resources that GesherCity provides, and we need to remind them that we are here and available to help them address their missions and serve their constituents.
Event Planning- We need to work as a team to learn what community events are well received and successful, and then help with planning, promoting and running these events. This includes helping to determine what events GesherCity should co-sponsor.

If you would like be be a part of this planning committee be sure to contact Lisa Walko ASAP LWALKO@jccdenver.org

Check out our great Clusters!
